Living It
Salutations! I’m Lisa and I’ve been living and working with chronic diseases and food allergies for nigh on 20 years.
Please peruse these pages for allergen-free recipes, easier-living tips, cats, and crunchy forest walking around central NY in between flare-ups!
Recipes and tips included on my site use disability-friendly appliances and items. I can no longer prepare food as I used to because of my severe arthritis, but I can still make wonderful meals, breads, and such!
All recipes are free from the top food allergens, and then some.
My shop will offer the same pantry items I use to prepare foods. However, nearly all of my recipes are ripe for substitution! Take from my site what works for you!
Did the garden end up looking like this even though you had the best intentions in the spring?
Disabilities, chronic disease, and/or nasty allergies, combined into one person can be a challenge.
And that can be a wonderful time!
I get it. What you aspire to do one moment may not be fully possible later on.
Do you collect mobility equipment like Pokemon cards?
Do you coordinate your outfits with the supports you’ll need for the day?
It can be a time to gain new perspectives about yourself and how you interact, or wish to interact, with the world around you.
